Description
Curious Spoon’s Thai Peanut Sauce Starter brings the complex, sweet, and spicy flavors of Thai and Southeast Asian cuisine to your home kitchen. When combined with your favorite peanut butter, this starter creates a dipping sauce that perfectly balances the peanut umami flavor with creamy coconut milk, lemongrass, ginger, and garlic.
Peanuts made their way to Southeast Asia through Spanish and Portuguese sailors who brought the legume over on their ships from Mexico. It was soon discovered that Southeast Asia’s climate was perfect for growing peanuts. As a result, the plant and its flavor now thrive throughout the region. Peanut sauces can range in texture from thin and smooth to chunky and thick. It’s most commonly used as a marinade for grilled meat dishes such as satay or as a dipping sauce for spring rolls and other popular Southeast Asian dishes.
