Chakalaka Chicken & Vegetables

Preheat your oven for a delicious taste of South Africa’s rich culinary history with the Chakalaka Chicken & Vegetables. Chakalaka is a versatile South African condiment that reflects the country’s culinary history. Although it originated in South Africa’s largest city, Johannesburg, chakalaka’s flavors and ingredients were highly influenced by Portuguese colonial rule as South African locals began to incorporate Portuguese culinary traditions into their own.

Our chakalaka chicken and vegetable recipe features Curious Spoon’s Chakalaka Chicken & Vegetables Sheet Pan Starter, a delicious blend of spices including cumin, coriander, oregano, onion, red bell pepper, garlic, salt, turmeric, and mustard. This delicious dish makes for the perfect lunch or dinner filling meal that the whole family will love.
